Video: Vengeance Racing Builds Another Monster C6Z

From stock to surpassing 1,000 horsepower, Vengeance Racing does it again with this beautiful beast. Brought into the shop as a stock C6 Z06, the car transforms before our eyes in this tantalizing video, masterfully put together by their in-house production team, Gearhead Flicks.

As the car goes up on the lift, the engine and transmission come down to make room for the new 440ci. This engine is built up from a RHS short block, and has a 10.5:1 compression ratio. The block is filled in with a custom ground Vengeance Racing cam, MAST Motorsports 285cc LS7 heads, T&D shaft mounted rocker system, Morel link bar hydraulic lifters, and more. Closing it up is the Vengeance Racing valve covers & coil relocation kit.

But they didn’t stop there. Rather than leaving the beefed-up engine naturally-aspirated, they added a Vortech YSI supercharger to squeeze out of a good bit more power. The AlkyControl dual nozzle methanol injection system compliments the build.

RPM Transmissions’ hardcore level VII TR6060 is slated to handle the massive amounts of power put out by this thing. It has a custom-spec Vengeance Racing flex fuel, fuel system that includes 1450cc fuel injectors.

Here are some of the other important parts of the build:

  • RPM Transmissions Stage IV Differential
  • Driveshaft Shop Carbon Fiber Propshaft
  • Driveshaft Shop 1,000HP Axles
  • RPS BC3 Carbon Fiber Clutch Kit
  • B&B Longtube Header System/Axle Back Exhaust
  • MGW Short Throw Shifter
  • Aeromotive Fuel Rails
  • Billet-Tech Alternator
  •  A&A Direct Drive 8-Rib System

Watch how all these parts masterfully come together to make this work of art.

We had the pleasure of taking a Vengeance shop tour a little over a year ago. To check out some behind the scene’s shots, check out the article we did here.
