Vengeance Racing offers several different performance packages for the 2010-2015 5th-generation SS and Z/28 Camaro. It starts out with a few basics like a CAI, thermostat and tuning, then climbs to pretty extreme heights from there. Their Stage 5 package is the most wild they offer for the N/A 5th-gens, and it’s pretty serious.

The MSD Atomic AirForce intake Vengeance uses for the Z/28 build is a beast out of the box. It allows for the use of larger throttle bodies and improves air/fuel ration across the board. It’s polymer molded to resist heat and minimize weight, and the direct flow path design allows for maximum airflow.

Other major components in the package include all of the upgraded bolt-ons like CAI, headers, exhaust work, pulleys, etc. and gets more hardcore from there. Quite a few internal engine components are swapped out to increase power and strength. This includes a custom VR cam kit, MAST Motorsports LS7 heads, COMP Cams lifters, and Vengeance Racing custom tuning. There’s a lot that went into it besides the ‘big’ parts. It all adds up to burnt rubber for days and 573 horsepower to the tires.

The full list of highlights includes:

  • MSD AirForce LS7 Intake Manifold
  • Nick Williams 102mm DBW Throttle Body
  • MAST Motorsports 285cc LS7 Cylinder Heads
  • ARP Head Bolt Kit
  • COMP 850 High Performance Lifter Set
  • Vengeance Racing Cam Kit Plus – Kaotik Camshaft
  • ARH 1 7/8″ Longtube Header System w/ 3″ NON-CATTED X-Pipe
  • NGK Tr55 Spark Plugs
  • 160º Thermostat
  • Billet Catch Can
  • Vengeance Racing High-Temp Spark Plug Wire Insulators
  • Vengeance Racing Custom Valve Covers with Coil Relocation Kit
  • Custom Street & Dyno ECU Calibration (Tuning)

As you can see, every detail is accounted for during this build, just like with all other Vengeance builds. This is why they’ve earned the reputation in the racing community that they have. We hope to see a lot more from this bad to the bone Z/28, and we expect to see a lot more 5th-gens using the MSD Atomic AirForce intake as it continues to prove itself.
