A few months ago, we brought you the tale of two identical Buick Grand Nationals that were located in a forgotten garage in the Midwest. Featuring a roster of matching options, a consecutive VIN sequence, unregistered titles and just over 1,000 miles on the clocks between both vehicles, the story went absolutely viral — stretching as far as at FOX News, Road and Track, and many others. It easily became our highest-traffic article of the year so far!
Rescued by Shawn Matthews and William Avila, it wasn’t long until the two gentlemen gave a call to Brin Menke at The AutoSpa for a very, very thorough cleaning!
Every inch of the these two vehicles will be cleaned, however, thanks to the video magic over at Jenkins Cinema, we were able to catch a glimpse of the halfway point between the cleanup; with the first car being completely detailed, and the second car remaining completely untouched!
The side-by-side comparison is pretty amusing, and it sure makes for some interesting content.
It should be noted that neither of the two cars have even been driven since their acquisition; only enough has been done to get them mobile and mechanically sound, as they’ve been loaded off and onto the trailers from their initial pickup, to their storage facility and to AutoSpa, where they currently reside.
Once the second car is detailed, they’ll be heading home to their current owner, Mr. Matthews. But don’t think that these two cars will be going back into seclusion, oh no. Once they’re back at home base, we have a feeling that you’ll be hearing much more about them in the coming weeks!
Being infatuated with cars since he was a toddler, AutoCentric Media Founder and Editor, Rick Seitz, has a true love and passion for all vehicles. When he isn’t tuning, testing, or competing with the brand’s current crop of project vehicles, he’s busy tinkering and planning the next modifications for his own cars.
